Estate Planning
Estate Planning consists of planning for the event of death and the event of incapacity.
Trusts are useful for avoiding probate and setting up a plan for protection and management of assets.
Wills form the basis for almost every estate plan.
Powers of attorney are the incapacity planning documents, which we always incorporate as part of the overall Estate Plan.
Help avoid delays at the bank
Bank accounts can be frozen until their new ownership is settled. A living trust helps ensure your accounts are available to those you designate with less interruption.
Avoid probate
Help prevent your loved ones from having to deal with the probate court system, which can include added costs and delays. Plus, you can avoid multistate probate if you own property in another state.
Protect your privacy
Probate court records are public records, which means that anyone can access your will. A living trust helps keep your personal matters private.
